Meet the 2024 Class of LULAC 151 Scholarship Recipients

LULAC 151 is up to their good old ways of supporting education in the local Latino Community. Having recently celebrated 75 years in Galveston County, it seems they have been up to good for decades, and this year is no exception.

On July 24th, LULAC 151 held their annual reception at the Knight of Columbus Hall where they awarded 64 individual scholarships for young people who have excelled in school and extracurricular activities.

So many talk about supporting education and the next generation, and there is some merit to reinforcing the importance by calling attention to it, however, LULAC 151 has been there with resources for these exceptional young people in the past, today, and for the foreseeable future. It does not go without saying. Please join me in congratulating this fine group of young people, LULAC 151 leadership and all who have given of themsleves and their finances to make all of this possible.
